- Central Park & The Concrete Jungle -

In October, my husband and I visited New York City which was the first time for him. Fortunately, we visited prior to Hurricane Sandy and as the leaves were changing in one of the cities I can never get enough of! We stayed at a hotel close to Central Park & took the first day to rent bikes in the park then sight-see around. It was a wonderful day to ride around with a lunch stop at the Central Park BoatHouse (which was delicious!).

After our leisurely bike ride, we walked down Fifth Avenue with a visit to FAO Schwarz and The Big Piano, admiring lovely designer store windows, Rockefeller Plaza, then the one place my hubby definitely wanted to see - Times Square. With a busy day of walking, comfort was key in the shoe department with a crossbody bag to avoid potential purse snatching episodes. You can never be too careful!
