- Make Your Own Peplum - Must be a peplum day today! Not only am I wearing a peplum top myself, but “Fashion Star” favorite Orly Shani posted this picture of her Louise Lace Dress do-it-yourself project - dress turned peplum top! If you’re good with scissors, you can make your own peplum top if the proportions of a dress you don’t wear any more are right. Try it yourself if you’re brave enough! What a fun way to re-use pieces. And, if you have mad sewing skills (or just access to a sewing machine), here’s a fun video I found on a DIY peplum skirt from a long skirt: http://youtu.be/cIpsvQWJi_Y
