Alberta Ferretti and Hal Rubenstein of InStyle Magazine put fashion vs style into words at an event at Tootsie's. Hal said (in my own words) that fashion is what we see on the runways - it happens. If you walk into your closet, look at everything and say "I have nothing to wear," that is fashion, but when you walk into your closet and say "what SHOULD I wear today?" that is style. I agree 100%. Style is what your closet says about you. It's how you use fashion to show who you are.
